Psychology of Perception

This course provides basic knowledge of how our perception works, its possibilities and limitations. The course gives an overview of various scientific methods through which we can examine how our sensory impressions are created and interpreted.
It also provides knowledge about the physical and biological foundations of perception; how the brain and sense organs enable our experience of the world as a coherent whole. The course also includes neuropsychology, which is natural because the science of perception has always been anchored in current knowledge of the nervous system.
The course is a good choice if you want to widen and deepen the knowledge of psychology that you learned on Psychology I – Course Package (PS11KP) (or equivalent). It is also suitable for guest and exchange students who need to set up their own education plan.
As a registered student on this course you will find detailed course information and communication in the learning platform Athena.
