Specialization in Global History of Religions - historical-philological perspectives II

For students admitted to the master program in the History of Religions, the course aims to provide an increased specialization and complementary studies in the History of Religions beyond the intended specialization of the master thesis.

The course is also open for students not enrolled in the master program in the History of Religions and offers a specialization in the History of Religions. The course discusses academic literature relevant to the history of religions, and provide advanced knowledge in historical-philological perspectives.

The course consists of one module, Historical-philological perspectives II, 7,5 credits.


Teaching Format

The course is an individual literature course, where the literature will be selected in consultation with the examiner.


Assessment

The course is examined on the basis of written assignment in the form of a paper, and on the basis of an oral examination based in the students submitted paper.

Examiner

The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.


Note that the course literature can be changed up to two months before the start of the course.
