Phenomenology and performance studies

The course focuses on the evolution of phenomenological studies of performing arts and of bodies in motion.

The course studies examples of how phenomenology can be used in the analysis of performances. It also investigates the different methodological approaches that can be drawn from phenomenology - as an encouragment to dive into lived experience, as a foundational framework or as a conceptual tool - and the consequences it may have.
