Performance Studies, Focusing on Gender and Feminism

Within this course you will study theatre and performance studies with a focus on gender and feminism.


Modules

The course consists of the following course units:

  • In part 1 of the course you will be introduced to theatre and performance studies, intersectional gender theory and feminist theory and will be able to discuss them from a contemporary perspective.
  • Part 2 of the course expands the understanding of theatre and performance studies, intersectional gender theory and feminist theory in relation to performing arts, public performances and performances of everyday life.

Teaching Format

Instruction is given in the form of lectures and seminar discussions.
