Theatre in Sweden: Historical and Contemporary Perspective

The course provides a fundamental orientation in the subject of theatre in Sweden, both from a historical and contemporary perspective.

Aspects concerning historiography and theatre policy are discussed. Theories and issues relating to working with performance analyses of the performance arts are presented to the student in the context of the discussion of the contemporary Swedish theatre.

Teaching is given in the form of seminar discussions.


Assessment

Examination is in the form of written home assignments.
