School-Age Educare 3 - ULV
The course is part of the program Further education of teachers trained abroad, specialization in School-Age Education and Care.
The course aims to deepen the student's theoretical understanding of work in after-school care centres. The aim of the course is to develop analytical skills to pay attention to relationships between individuals and the collective, between power structures and possible identity positions, and between didactic approaches and their consequences for individuals and for the after-school care centre's operations.
The course takes its starting point from a selection of theories of relevance for studying and analyzing after-school care centre practices. The after-school care centre pedagogical research field is examined both nationally and internationally. Children's learning, play, identity formation and upbringing conditions are focused on. Knowledge about didactic choices in professional practice is also central to the course. Theories about children and childhoods are used as analytical tools and are linked to didactics and methodology to analyze practical work.
The language of instruction is Swedish.
