In total, 71,996 international students applied for a master's degree and 13,606 students for a bachelor’s degree in Sweden in this call with the final application date 15 January of this year.

Last year's application period had 13 368 applicants to the university's master's programmes. According to the University and Higher Education Council, the number of applicants for the autumn's international courses and programmes at the bachelor’s level at Swedish universities increased by six per cent compared to last fall, and the number of applicants for master's programmes decreased by 3 per cent for the corresponding period.

Admission announcements to applicants

The next step in the admissions process is the selection - applicants for master's programmes receive their admissions announcement on 6 April, while applicants for international courses and programmes at the bachelor’s level will receive their information by 19 April.
