Credit transfer
If you believe your previous studies or professional experience correspond to a course or programme at Stockholm University you can apply for a credit transfer. You must have been admitted to and study at Stockholm University in order to be able to apply for a credit transfer. This may involve replacing a specific module or programme or optional course (credits) in your degree.
The Higher Education Ordinance regulates the right to transfer credits from previous studies or prior professional experience. In order to be able to apply for a credit transfer, you must have been admitted to and study at Stockholm University.
A credit transfer may impact any further studies and your right to student finance. Transferred courses or credits are not graded. Thus, it is important that you consider the purpose of the credit transfer before applying.
Previous studies from a Swedish higher education institution do not always have to be transferred. However, you always need to apply for a credit transfer for credits obtained from higher education studies abroad and for professional experience.
