Consultations on academic writing and study skills

In a consultation at the Academic Writing Service you can get advice from specialists who can help you to develop your writing skills and study more effectively.

It was the best ever support. I got tips and advice that helped me to see my text with new eyes.

In a one-on-one consultation you can get advice on academic writing, study skills and presentation technique. You can also get feedback on essays, theses and other English-language texts. For written assignments, we are able to read and give feedback on approximately two pages of text. For research theses, it is possible to discuss more of your work over a number of meetings. In all cases, we do not proofread or correct texts but instead aim to give you feedback that will help you to improve the work yourself. Consultations normally last 45 minutes.

You can book a consultation by filling in a booking form, accessible through the link below. Make your booking as soon as possible as there is often high demand for appointment times. After making your booking, please send a copy of your text to If you are writing your thesis with a partner, we can see you both in the same appointment.
