On this page you will find instructions for downloading and installing JMP. In order to access certain information, such as installation files (SID files), you must be registered in Ladok as an active student.

Download and install
Downloading
To download JMP click here. In this folder you will find installation and SID files. Click on the ZIP file to download the installation file. The download will begin. It is a large file so this will take a while.
Installation
Open the downloaded file (if a query pops up asking if it is ok to open the file, click on OK). Choose a folder where the zipped file can be unzipped. Run the program as follows:
Windows: Double-click on "setup.exe".
Mac: Mount the .dmg file and launch the installation file.
The installation will begin - this will take a while.
Verification
Verify the installation by checking that the program starts normally. The exact details of what you need to do depends on the platform you are using. If the program does not start, re-install the software in accordance with the above. If you were unable to find the file, you can repeat the download process as above.
Renewing the license
The installed program has full functionality up until 31 May, the annual renewal date. This means that your software license must be renewed by 1 June. You will notice this when you are asked to enter a new license file (SID file).
In order to renew, a new license file must be installed (also known as a SID file - SAS Installation Data File).
Download the license file (.txt file): Download an up-to-date license file for JMP here. Right-click on the .txt file and select Save link as..., and save the file on your desktop.
Install the license file
- Start JMP
- If the license has expired, you will receive a message about this.
- Click on Open License.
- Find the license file you saved on your desktop (under Download license file)
- Select Open > OK
Uninstalling the program
Once you have completed your studies, you must uninstall the program. The exact details of what you need to do depends on the platform you are using.
