Calls for application

On this page, you will find information about when you can apply for exchange studies, and instructions on how to apply for them.

Exchange studies can be undertaken in different forms; studying abroad for one or two semesters, as a short mobility period (5 days mobility), as summer courses, or as a field study during your degree project. Find the timeline when to apply for these mobilities below.

Exchange studies through departmental agreements and networks

Many departments at Stockholm University have their own exchange agreements with universities around the world. You apply for exchange studies through departmental agreements and networks online in the system Mobility Online during joint application periods (for most departments).

Exchange studies through central agreements and networks

Central agreements, that are on a general university level (university-wide), can be applied to regardless of your home department. Currently there are exchange agreements in North America, South America, Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania. There are also agreements in Europe through the networks Civis Erasmus+ and Nordlys Erasmus+.

On a central level you can apply for exchange studies through university-wide agreements for one or two semesters, or for short term study abroad.

You can also apply for Minor Field Studies (MFS) with the aim of collecting data or conduct a field study for a course project or a degree project in countries where the Swedish government has active strategies for development cooperation.

The central agreements and networks are administered by International Office at the Student Services.
