Departmental agreements and networks

Many departments at Stockholm University have their own exchange agreements with universities around the world. These agreements are usually subject-specific and aimed at students studying at the specific department. The Faculty of Science also have some exchange agreements on faculty level. The departmental exchange agreements are handled by the International Coordinator at the respective department.

When and how to apply for exchange studies

You apply for an exchange through departmental agreements and networks online in the system Mobility Online during joint application periods. The departments have their own eligibility- and selection criteria and other specific application instructions. Therefore, you must always check the department’s own call for applications to receive the correct information about eligibility, selection, and how to complete your application.

Application periods might vary

Most departments with exchange agreements have joint application periods. However, a few departments and the Faculty of Science have different application periods. See “Department specific information” for more information about the departments that have different application periods.
