Agreement portal

Find universities of your interest in the agreement portal. In the portal you will find information regarding course restrictions, and grade requirements. You will also find the number of exchange slots for most partner universities Spring 2025.

By filtering ”Program” you will find:

  • Partner universities outside Europe: ”Bilateral Student (uni-wide)”
  • Partner universities within Europe: ”Erasmus CIVIS Student”
  • Partner universities within Scandinavia: ”Erasmus Nordlys Student”

Make sure the university of your interest offers relevant courses for you. E.g. at some partner universities you cannot study Law or Business.

Ensure you are informed about possible restrictions (e.g., language; French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese).

Some partner universities have strict grade requirements.

In the agreement portal you will find above mentioned information. Only apply to universities you are eligible for.

You can select 1-5 universities in your application. For the three first selections you must submit a course proposal, which must be approved by your home department at Stockholm University, or by the Degree Office (tillgodo@su.se).

When you have decided which universities you wish to apply for, you should prepare:

  • Preliminary course proposal: must be submitted for the three first selected universities ” Preliminary course proposal (162 Kb) ”.
If necessary, add rows manually. You must select courses equal to full time studies. It is your responsibility to find courses via our partner universities’ webpages. Your course proposal must be approved by your home department at Stockholm University, or by the Degree Office. Name to person who has approved your course proposal in the form ”Preliminary course proposal”.
International officers at International Office, Stockholm University, cannot advise/approve course proposals.
  • Personal letter: can be no longer than one (1) A4, it should be written in English, and it should be directed to International Office, Stockholm Universities. You should motivate your selection of universtities. Describe how you could be a good ambassador for your home department and Stockholm University, and in what ways an exchange will add to your academic as well as personal development. NOTE, you should write only one (1) letter, regardless how many universities you apply for.

The application is done via Mobility Online. Login via the link below, and follow all instructions.

To the online form

When you have completed and submitted the online form you will receive an email, asking you to confirm your personal details. Complete and confirm your application according to the instructions in the email.

Your application is only completed when:

  • You have confirmed your personal details, according to instructions sent via email to you
  • Click ”Back to general overview” and upload the two mandatory documents ”Preliminary course proposal” and ”Letter of motivation” (Step 1)
  • When the attachments are uploaded, click “Click to confirm and submit”
  • A confirmation email will be sent to you, and now you will have to wait for a decision

After the application deadline all applications will be processed. Selections will be completed 2-4 weeks after the application deadline.

Decisions will be sent via email, regardless if you are offered an exchange slot or not. Decisions will be sent from studentutbyte@su.se

If you are offered an exchange slot you need to accept or decline the offer, according to instruction in the decision email.

Carefully consider your answer, a declined slot could be allocated to another applicant.

If you accept your offer, please wait for further information from International Office.

When you receive further information and instructions, read these thoroughly.

Keep in mind that, depending on the host university, information and instructions will be sent at different dates.

Here is some practical information:

Practical information about exchange studies

  • Don’t include a formal language test in this application. If you are nominated for a host university that demands a formal language test, you will do this when applying for the host university.
  • Remaining seats will be offered to students who have not received a seat in the first selection round. The remaining seats are distributed according to the selection criteria. There are no extra application rounds.
  • There is always a risk that you won’t be admitted to the host university. The reason for this is often because the student has not done enough research about the host university and does not fulfil the language or grade requirements.
  • If you are not nominated in this application round you can apply as many times as you want!
