Exchange studies
Exchange studies are perfect for those students who wish to explore the world during their studies. On this page, you will find what options there are for studying abroad and how to apply.
What are exchange studies?
A student exchange means that two universities exchange students between them, thus you are not required to pay any (additional) tuition fees for your studies. You are able to apply for either one or two semesters, for a summer course, or for a short mobility period including a virtual component (BIP).
There is a possibility to receive a scholarship if you conduct your exchange studies within the programmes Erasmus+, Nordplus, or north2north.
The International Office at Student Services regularily offers digital information sessions about studying abroad. You can also connect and ask all your questions during the digital drop in. We are also available on campus Freascti and Albano during the application period:

Nyhavn District in Copenhagen.
Agreements and networks

Departmental agreements and networks
Many departments at Stockholm University have their own exchange agreements with universities around the world. These agreements are usually subject specific and aimed at students studying at the specific department.
