Scholarships offered by Stockholm University

The Scholarship Scheme at Stockholm University is aimed at especially qualified students coming from countries outside of EU/EEA/Switzerland and who are required to pay tuition fees for studies. The Scholarship covers tuition fees only, which means that students will need to cover their own living costs.

Application Procedure and Notification of Results

Only students who have applied in the First Admissions Round can apply for the Scholarship. When the notification of results for programmes is published in the beginning of April, students admitted for a Master's programme at Stockholm University will be sent an electronic application form to the email address given in their application to

The selection will be based on the academic merits of the applicants and priority will be given to students with Stockholm University as their first choice on

Important dates for the autumn 2020

  • 3 April: Students eligible for the scholarship will be sent an electronic application form via email during the late afternoon and early evening of April 3 (Swedish time).
  • 6 April: Deadline for application to the Stockholm University scholarship.
  • 24 April: Scholarship recipients and other applicants are informed of the results via email during the late afternoon and early evening of April 24 (Swedish time).
