- Choose your platform (Win, Mac, or Linux)
- Click on .exe (for Windows) > Choose Save File
- Go through the installation-wizard.
- At the User information, enter the following information:
- Full Name: Stockholms universitet
- Organization: Stockholms universitet
- When you are given a choice between Anyone who uses this computer and Only for me > Choose Only for me (Stockholms universitet)
- At Select Executable, choose Stata/SE
- At Select Default Working Directory, choose Use Each User’s Documents Folder
- At Initialize License, enter the following information:
- Name: Your name
- Organization: Stockholms universitet
- Information regarding Serial number, Code and Authorization you’ll find here. Should the link not work, try to copy the URL and past in to a browser window.
- Click Next. When Stata/SE is licensed correctly you will get a pop-up that says ”Register Stata”. We recommend you to register. This is important in case you need support.
Please note that the installation process can be different depending on your OS and Stata/SE version. The above instructions are based on installing Stata/SE 15 on a Win 64-bit system.
Verification
Verify your installation by making sure you can start the application. How you start the application depends on what platform you are running. If the application doesn’t start, redo the installation following the above description.
