Kungshamra
Kungshamra is a student accommodation area in a quiet, green neighbourhood near Lake Mälaren – just a short bus ride from Stockholm University. All rooms are furnished and intended for international students in university-arranged housing.
There are 40 corridor rooms at Kungshamra, all managed by the Housing Office and intended for single occupancy.
The Housing Office handles all applications, tenancy agreements and practical matters.

Student union membership
To live at Kungshamra, you must be a member of the Stockholm Federation of Student Unions (SSCO). If you are offered and accept accommodation, you can join a student union after arriving in Stockholm.

The listed rent applies to the academic year 2024/2025 and is per semester.
Rent: SEK 24,000–28,450
Housing details
Each corridor has 8 to 12 private rooms and is mixed gender. All rooms are 18 to 19 square metres, furnished, and intended for single occupancy. Each room has a private bathroom, and the kitchen is shared with other residents in the corridor.
All apartments are furnished and ready for move-in. They are equipped with lamps, window blinds, and a bed with mattress (90×200 cm in studios). Some rooms may also have curtains or extra furniture left by previous tenants.
You must bring your own duvet, pillow, bed linen, and towels.
The kitchen includes a table and chairs, refrigerator and freezer, stove and oven, kitchen cabinets, and basic cooking utensils such as pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery. Some utensils may have been left by previous tenants.

- Internet is included in the rent (wi-fi is not provided).
- Bring your own router and network cable (compatible with Swedish standards).
Keys
- Room door: electronic iLOQ key.
- Access tag for the building and shared areas.
- You must provide a padlock for your postbox and kitchen cabinet.
Laundry, parking and recycling
- Laundry rooms with free washing machines and dryers.
- Parking available for rent.
- Recycling is mandatory – use the designated containers.
