Kungshamra

Kungshamra housing area is located a short bus ride from Stockholm University Campus Frescati. Here we provide 40 corridor rooms available to exchange students at Stockholm University.

The buildings were constructed in the mid-sixties and is located in a green area. There are student corridors with 8 to 12 rooms and a shared kitchen. The rooms are between 18–19 square meters with a private bathroom. All corridors are mixed gender.

The corridor rooms at Kungshamra are only for single occupancy and available only for exchange students that are members of SSCO, meaning that you need to become a member of a student union.

Those who receive and accept an offer for an accommodation in Kungshamra, will be able to join the student union after their arrival in Stockholm and there will be plenty of time to send in a proof of membership.

The rent for one semester is approximately between SEK 22,500 and SEK 27,000 (academic year 24/25).

Essentials

All corridor rooms are furnished with a bed, mattress, desk and chair. Some rooms may have curtains, blinds or extra lamps and chairs which were left by previous tenants. Please note that you need to bring your own quilt, pillow, sheets and towels. Standard furnishing includes a single bed, size 200×90 cm.

The shared kitchen is equipped with refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and stoves. Some utensils may have been left by previous tenants.

Internet

Internet is included in the rent. However, we do not supply wi-fi. You need to bring your own network cable and a router. Please note that network cables or routers from other countries may not work in Sweden.

Keys

The key set consists of an electronic key (iLOQ) for the room door and a key tag for the front door and the common spaces such as laundry room and shared kitchen.

When using an iLOQ cylinder, the iLOQ key need to be inserted entirely into the keyway and then turned.

If the cylinder does not open, the key need to be removed and slowly re-inserted into the cylinder again. You need to buy your own padlock for your postbox and your kitchen cabinet.
