Kungshamra
Kungshamra is a student accommodation area in a quiet, green neighbourhood near Lake Mälaren – just a short bus ride from Stockholm University. All rooms are furnished and intended for international students staying in university-arranged housing.
There are 40 corridor rooms at Kungshamra, all managed by the Housing Office and intended for single occupancy.
To live at Kungshamra, you must be a member of the Stockholm Federation of Student Unions (SSCO). If you are offered and accept accommodation, you can join a student union after arriving in Stockholm.
The Housing Office handles all applications, tenancy agreements and practical matters.

Room details
- Each corridor has 8 to 12 private rooms.
- All rooms are 18–19 m², furnished and for single occupancy.
- Each room has a private bathroom.
- The kitchen is shared with other residents in the corridor.
- Corridors are mixed-gender.

Rent: SEK 24,000–28,450
The listed rent applies to the academic year 2024/2025 and is per semester.
What’s included
The accommodation is furnished and ready for move-in.
Furniture and equipment
- Bed (200×90 cm), mattress, desk and chair
- Some rooms may include curtains, lamps or extra chairs left by previous tenants.
Kitchen and shared areas
- Kitchens include refrigerators, freezers, stoves and cupboards.
- Some utensils may have been left by previous tenants.
Please note: You need to bring your own quilt, pillow, sheets and towels.
Internet and keys
- Internet is included in the rent (wi-fi is not provided).
- Bring your own router and network cable (compatible with Swedish standards).
- Room door: electronic iLOQ key.
- Access tag for the building and shared areas.
- You must provide a padlock for your postbox and kitchen cabinet.
Laundry, parking and recycling
- Laundry rooms with free washing machines and dryers.
- Parking available for rent.
- Recycling is mandatory – use the designated containers.
