Lappis (Lappkärrsberget)
The Lappis housing area is located about ten minutes on foot from Stockholm University’s Frescati campus. Exchange students can apply for corridor rooms in this area.
Lappis is a green neighbourhood with buildings of four to six floors. All rooms are for single occupancy.
The Housing Office handles all applications, tenancy agreements and practical matters.
Student union membership
To live at Lappis, you must be a member of the Stockholm Federation of Student Unions (SSCO). If you are offered and accept accommodation, you can join a student union after arriving in Stockholm.

Rent
The listed rent applies to the academic year 2024/2025 and is per semester.
Rent: SEK 24,000–31,000
Housing details
There are around 300 private rooms. All corridors are mixed-gender, with 8 to 12 rooms sharing a kitchen. The rooms range from 17 to 23 square metres and each has a private bathroom.
All rooms are furnished and intended for single occupancy. Each room includes a bed (200×90 cm), mattress, desk, and chair. Some rooms may also have curtains, lamps, or extra chairs left by previous tenants.
The kitchen is shared with other residents in the corridor and includes refrigerators, freezers, stoves, and cupboards. Some utensils may have been left by previous tenants.

Living in Lappis

Internet
Internet is included in the rent (wi-fi is not provided). Bring your own network cable and router, noting that equipment from other countries may not be compatible in Sweden.

Keys
Electronic key (iLOQ) for the room door, key tag for the front door and the common spaces (laundry room, shared kitchen). The key need to be inserted entirely and then turned. If the cylinder does not open, the key need to be removed and slowly re-inserted into the cylinder again. You need to buy your own padlock for your postbox and your kitchen cabinet.
Postbox
The postboxes are located in the corridor.
Laundry
There are several laundry rooms with washing machines and dryers to use free of charge. Tenants can use assigned laundry room.

Parking
Parking is available for hire.
Recycling
Tenants are required to recycle waste items in assigned containers.
