Housing for international students

Student housing at Stockholm University is available for certain international student groups: exchange students, tuition fee-paying students, scholarship holders, and exchange doctoral students admitted for at least one semester.

University housing includes a range of furnished options, from private rooms with shared facilities to family apartments, all located in or near central Stockholm.

Please note that there is no housing guarantee.

 

Who can apply

Only certain international students are eligible for university housing, based on a government regulation. Accommodation may be offered to

  • exchange students studying for at least one semester
  • tuition fee-paying students studying for at least one semester
  • students with a Stockholm University Scholarship or a Swedish Institute Scholarship, studying for at least one semester
  • exchange doctoral students staying for at least one semester.
