Housing for International Students

Stockholm University rents and manages furnished rooms and apartments which are owned by other landlords in Stockholm. These are available to international students at Stockholm University. Please note however that exchange students from partner universities and non-European master students that have received a specific scholarship via the Stockholm University Scholarship Scheme are prioritized. 


Apply for accommodation exchange students

All admitted exchange students will receive information via email on how to apply for accommodation through the Housing Office. Please read more about the process and who is eligible.

Apply for accommodation other international students

If you are an international student but not an exchange student you will not receive an email about how to apply for housing. Please read more for instructions on how to apply.

Finding accommodation in Stockholm

Stockholm University has a limited amount of housing, and therefore we cannot offer accommodation to all international students that have applied. For those that we cannot offer housing, please read our advice on how to find housing on the private market.

You are also welcome to meet us during our visting hours every Tuesday 13.00-15.00 at Servicecenter, S√∂dra Huset. Please note that we will not have any visiting hours during the summer. The visiting hours will start again week 35.
