It was the best ever support. I got tips and advice that helped me to see my text with new eyes.
To reduce the risk of spreading the new corona virus we are only offering distance consultations via Zoom at present. You can find instructions for getting started with Zoom here:
Install and log in to Zoom
In a one-on-one consultation you can get advice on academic writing, study skills and presentation technique. You can also discuss essays, theses and other texts with a writing consultant. For written assignments, we are able to read and give feedback on approximately two pages of text. For research theses, it is possible to discuss more of your work over a number of meetings. In all cases, we do not proofread or correct texts but instead aim to help you improve the work yourself. Consultations normally last 45 minutes.

Visit our online drop-in
During our drop-in times you can receive quick advice on academic writing and study skills. You can also get information on the Academic Writing Service's events, activities and services.
A drop-in consultation lasts around 15 minutes. You can get the most out of your consultation by having some questions prepared or by thinking about which aspects of your text you would like to improve. If you want to talk about a text, you should be ready to share it with the writing consultant.
