She wants to change the stereotypes around maths

Eleonora Svanberg wants to change the perception of maths and inspire more young girls to take up the subject. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Mathematical Physics at the University of Oxford and is a passionate advocate for gender equality in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths).

On February 6th a new reading group of Speculative Fiction within the open seminar series of the Master's Programme in Environmental Humanities will have it's first meeting. It is lead by professor Andrew Jones, Department of Archaeology and Classical studies and Elisa Viteri Márquez, PhD student at the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies.
