Order, download and return of printed books

From Wednesday 18 March we are open on weekdays 10 am - 11 am to allow students and researchers to borrow and return books. You can also print. You enter through the staff entrance, a footbridge with a few steps to the left of the entrance FED.
If you are wheelchair bound, please talk to the guard outside the entrance. You will then be let in through the emergency exit near the staff entrance.
Otherwise, the library is closed, and you can't sit there and study.

Due to the ban on public gatherings with more than 50 people, we count visitors we let in during the hour we are open. This may mean that you have to wait a while to be let in by the guard.

Service for students at evening- and distance courses (ordinary distance courses only).

As a student at an evening course or distance course (applies only to those who take a course that also normally is a distance course) you can order books from the library and have them sent home. Contact the library via email. State the following; name, address, username, course code, teacher name, and the URL of the hit in the library catalogue (eg: libris.kb.se/bib/14735542). Write "Evening course" or "Distance course" as the heading in the email. We do not send books that are also available as e-books. Orders where information is missing are not processed. Books are sent  continuously.

For those who need the help of a librarian

You can still have your questions answered through the library chat, which is open 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays. You can also find answers to your questions in the library's forum "Ask the library", or get in touch with us via email or telephone (9-11).

Remote Search Hub

You, as a student or researcher at Stockholm university, can receive remote guidance. Please contact us via bokabibliotekarie@su.se and we will guide you i.e. via Zoom.

E-resources

The e-library is always open. Here you can access most of the library's collections from home as well. You access the resources as usual through our catalogue and databases A-Z.

Due to the prevailing situation, several foreign academic publishers have opened parts of their collections to facilitate remote working. It may be worthwhile to search outside the library's catalogue as well.

Other Libraries

The Asia Library and the Dept. of Social Work Library are closed.

To borrow books please contact the libraries by mail.

Registrar

The registrar will have a bell at the staff entrance for visits during the opening hours between 9 am - 11 am.

Talking books

The talking books service works remotely.
