Please note that the agreement applies to articles submitted from 1 January 2020 and onwards. Articles submitted during 2019, accepted for publication in 2020 are not included.

How do I proceed as a corresponding author?

Regardless of the publisher, as a corresponding author you must be affiliated with Stockholm University in order to benefit from our agreements. Therefore, always use your SU email address when submitting. This facilitates the identification of articles eligible for open access publishing, free of charge for the author.

Further information on how to publish open access with ACS will be provided soon.

What’s included?

The agreement includes unlimited open access publishing, free of charge, in all ACS journals, including the publisher’s fully open access journals:

About the Agreement

The agreement is a national so-called “Read & Publish” agreement. The APCs are already prepaid, since the agreement includes both the costs of the library's subscriptions as well as the costs of open access publishing. The agreement was negotiated by The National Library of Sweden and in addition to Stockholm University, a number of other Swedish research institutes have chosen to participate in the agreement.
