How do I proceed as a corresponding author?

In addition to stating your affiliation with Stockholm University, you must use your SU email address when submitting a manuscript to one of De Gruyter’s journals.

Publishing in De Gruyter hybrid journals

When submitting a manuscript to an De Gruyter journal, be sure to:

  • Use your SU email address
  • State your Stockholm University affiliation

This way De Gruyter will identify you as an author qualified to publish open access, free of charge.

Publishing in De Gruyter fully open access journals

  • Await an e-mail from RightsLink requesting APC payment
    - Click – "Pay charges now / Raise an invoice"
  • Log in or create an account in RightsLink
  • Input Stockholm University in the "Affiliation Discount" section, this will then cause the APC discount (30%) to be applied
  • APC to be paid by the library (exclusive SU agreement)
  • Send the invoice to –

About the agreement

APCs for articles in De Gruyter full open access journals are discounted with 30%. As a rule, the invoice is sent to the author. Since the library covers all APCs in fully open access journals, please forward these invoices to

APCs for open access articles published in De Gruyter’s hybrid journals are discounted with 90% and invoiced directly to the library at the end of the year.

The agreement is a national so called “Offsetting” agreement. The agreement was negotiated by the National Library and in addition to Stockholm University, 9 other Swedish research institutes have joined.
