End Nuclear Weapons exhibition at the university library

During November the End Nuclear Weapons exhibition will be displayed at Stockholm University Library. In connection with the exhibition, a panel discussion will be held on November 19, featuring researchers, educators, and civil society voices.

The exhibition is displayed in the University Library until November 28.

November 10-28, “End Nuclear Weapons”, an educational exhibition on nuclear weapons, the global treaty banning them, and our shared responsibility visits Stockholm University Library. The exhibition builds on decades of peace work by Soka Gakkai International and global civil society organisations.

The purpose of the exhibition is to raise awareness about the current reality of nuclear weapons, share fact-based insights on humanitarian and environmental risks, highlight the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) and invite students and the public to reflect on responsibility, prevention, and disarmament.
 
Visitors will encounter:
– Powerful infographics and historical timelines
– Testimonies from Hiroshima and Nagasaki survivors
– Data visualizations on modern arsenals and emerging threats
– Youth-friendly educational materials and calls to action

 

Panel discussion on nuclear weapons

November 19 there will be a panel discussion at Stockholm University Library to explore Sweden’s shifting nuclear policy, the implications of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), and how education and civil society can shape the future.

The panelists:
Emma Rosengren
, researcher in international relations at Stockholm University and member of the board of Swedish Pugwash
Victor Galaz, political scientist and associate professor at Stockholm Resilience Centre, Stockholm University
Tytti Erästö, senior researchers at SIPRI and member of the board of Swedish Pugwash
Josefin Lind, secretary general, Swedish Physicians against Nuclear Weapons
The discussion will be in Swedish.
