Vice President Clas Hättestrand congratulated on the degree and pointed out in his welcome speech that a university degree is an important milestone in the lives of all new graduates but also for the university.

Through what you have acquired during your education, you will be able to contribute to a better society, and on a scientific basis help to solve both today's and tomorrow's societal challenges.

The chairman of the Stockholm University Student Union, Elis Wibacke, congratulated all new graduates on their degree and on the knowledge they had acquired.

Your degrees, which we highlight today, say much more than the names of some courses and the number of higher education credits - they certify that you have struggled, that you have achieved and that you have developed during your time at Stockholm University.

The Faculties' greetings were given by the conferrers, appointed by each faculty to award the diplomas to those present: Jessika van der Sluijs, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Barbro Blehr, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Lena Hübner, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Joakim Edsjö, Chairman of the Undergraduate Education Committee at the Faculty of Science.

Adriana Jimenez Moreno, international officer at the Student Department, emphasized during her closing speech that all new graduates have now, in addition to the knowledge itself, acquired skills that help them make a difference in society and in the world. She urged all new graduates to keep in touch with the university, if they do not feel really finished with the university yet, among other things by joining the university's alumni network.

Thank you for choosing Stockholm University for your studies and for making Stockholm University a fantastic university. You have undoubtedly contributed with your perspective and your knowledge during your time with us.
