Record-breaking number of master's programme applicants

More than 21,000 people have applied for international master's programmes at Stockholms University.

The total number of applicants to master's programmes with a language of instruction other than Swedish is 21,229, which is an increase of almost 22 per cent, compared to last year, and 5 per cent more than the national average.

Almost 10,000 people applied for an international master's programme as their first choice – an increase of almost 19 per cent.

The most popular programme is the Master’s Programme in Data Science, Statistics and Decision Analysis with almost 1,500 applicants.

Master's Programme in Data Science, Statistics and Decision Analysis: 1,485 applicants
Master's Programme in IT Project Management: 1,117 applicants
Master's Programme in Banking and Finance: 1,023 applicants
Master's Programme in Education with International and Comparative specialisation: 1,009 applicants
Master's Programme in Marketing: 909 applicants
