Stockholm University ranks 153 in the QS ranking
Stockholm University is ranked on place 153 in the QS World University Rankings 2023: Top global universities, which was presented on 8 June.
Among Swedish higher education institutions, Stockholm University is in fifth place just like last year. KTH Royal Institute of Technology is number one in Sweden according to the QS ranking.
The QS World University Rankings is considered to be one of the most important rankings of universities in the world, this year’s edition includes 1,500 universities. The QS Rankings is published annually by British Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and is based on various indicators where academic reputation weighs the most. Other indicators are reputation among employees, citations per faculty, number of teachers in relation to students, proportion of international students and proportion of international researchers.
Internationally the top three universities this year are Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) followed by University of Cambridge and Stanford University.
