Study abroad with a short blended mobility programme

Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) are short, intensive study programmes that use innovative forms of learning and teaching, combining distance learning with short periods of physical mobility. Registration is open until 4 May.

Transcending the limits of traditional courses, the Blended Intensive Programmes have become a new form of mobility within the Erasmus+’ programme. Depending on the topic and the setup, a BIP might attract students from different disciplines and a broad range of countries, even beyond Europe. Most CIVIS BIP:s are open to students from Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral studies levels.
While taking part in a BIP, the students participate in online learning from home. The virtual session is then followed by a 5 days physical mobility to another CIVIS member university, to allow participants to work alongside professors and students from across the Alliance.

Students admitted to BIP:s shall apply for an Erasmus grant for participating in a short blended mobility if the eligibility criteria are met. Here you can read more about Erasmus grant for blended mobility.

How do I apply for a CIVIS BIP?

As a student at Stockholm University, you have the opportunity to apply for a Civis BIP. Keep in mind, however, that there are eligibility requirements to participate and that special requirements apply to fee-paying international students. To ensure that you are authorized to participate in an Erasmus+ mobility, and that you can take credit for the course, you must first contact the study advisor or the exchange coordinator at your department.
All applications are made via CIVIS' mobility portal, which you can access directly from the Civis' course catalogue.

More information about CIVIS BIPs can be found on the Civis website: CIVIS Blended Intensive Programmes.
