Beatrice Fihn is Secretary General of ICAN, the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons. The organization received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017 for its work to draw attention to the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of any use of nuclear weapons and for its ground-breaking efforts to achieve a treaty-based prohibition of such weapons. Beatrice Fihn studied at Stockholm University and has a degree in international relations.
