About me
The common thread of my research is supported by my background in biology and environmental chemistry, cultivated during my PhD, which fuels my interest in understanding the impacts of pollutants on our environment. In recent years, I have dedicated my research efforts to the study of mercury (Hg) cycling in Arctic marine and terrestrial ecosystems including sediment and permafrost. My research vision is characterized by its multidisciplinary approach, involving the integration of analytical chemistry, microbiology, and Geographic Information System (GIS) tools to establish connections between marine pollution and climate change, spanning from microscale processes to the Pan-Arctic cycling.
