About me

I am a qualified social worker and a senior lecturer in social work. In 2016, I defended my doctoral thesis titled

Evidence-based Practice Behind the Scenes

. My research focuses on knowledge-related issues within the social work profession—how knowledge is produced, and how it is used in policy and practice. This includes, for example, evidence-based practice (EBP), systematic follow-up in practice, and the use of standardized assessment instruments and manual-based interventions.

Municipal child welfare - investigations, services and trajectories beyond

Two thousand children and youth in eight municipalities will be subject to a prospective, longitudinal study of their trajectory through the child welfare system for six years. The study is conducted by an interdisciplinary research team with academic competence in social work, sociology, law and criminology, collaborating with FoU-Nordväst.
