GAINS

SOFI’s gender research group GAINS (Gender Analysis and Interdisciplinary research Network, Stockholm) is a cross-disciplinary research environment that aims to facilitate social science research on issues related to gender. Our focus areas include the labor market, health, education, and family relations.

Level of living (LNU)

Research at the Level of Living-unit includes studies of individuals' living conditions, social stratification and economic and social inequality. Here we study what living conditions in society look like today for both adults and children, and how the standard of living in society has changed over time and between generations.

About me

Anni Erlandsson is a researcher (post doc) at the Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI). Her research interests include family sociology and labor market inequality. She is currently working on a project on career breaks in relation to childbearing. A lot of her research relates to parenthood and labor market outcomes.

She worked previously as a senior researcher in the INVEST Research Flagship Centre at University of Turku. She has a doctoral degree in sociology from Stockholm University (2022). Her dissertation focused on labor market discrimination based on gender, parenthood and ethnicity.

She teaches at the master's level and also supervises undergraduate and master's theses in sociology.
