About me
I am a Wallenberg Academy Fellow (cohort 2023) and a tenured faculty member at the Department of Physics.
My research focuses on galaxy formation and the nature of dark matter, with an emphasis on dwarf galaxies, the Milky Way, and the nearby Universe, where the most detailed observations are available. My research group develops and uses state-of-the-art, high-resolution cosmological simulations to explore the connection between galaxy formation and the underlying physics of dark matter.
We are currently running the most detailed simulations to date of the formation and evolution of the faintest galaxies (Lyra project), as well as studying the signatures of warm dark matter and self-interacting dark matter in dwarf galaxies.
I am the co-lead of the Cosmological Models Working Group for ESA’s ARRAKHIS space mission, and a member of the Virgo Consortium for supercomputer simulations.
I teach the MSc level course on the theory of galaxy formation.
