My main project: "Climate, life-history and a multitrophic food web on oak"
My PhD position is supported by the Bolin Centre for Climate Research (RA8) and is associated with the project “Climate, life-history and a multitrophic food web on oak” with Dr. Ayco Tack and Dr. Karl Gotthard as supervisors . The objective is to understand how spatial and temporal variation in climate affects the voltinism of a diverse community of herbivores and parasitoids on oak and the consequences for food web structure and dynamics.
My PhD thesis: "The impact of changes in voltinism on ecology and evolution insect communities"
The main objective of the thesis project is to evaluate the impact of voltinism on a food web formed by oaks (primary producer), communities of herbivorous insects (primary consumer) and their parasitoids (secondary consumer). For which four experiments have been designed distributed in two modules. A first module will be an observational study of voltinism across spatial scales, and the subsequent chapters will use field and indoor experiments to explore the consequences of changes in voltinism for the food web on oak.
