About me

I am a PhD student at the Department of Human Geography, Stockholm University, Sweden.

PhD project: "Pastoral Mobility, Access and Institutions. A study of Samburu pastoral mobility and access to grazing areas in the Ewaso Basin ecosystem, Kenya"

The aim of my thesis is to explore how Samburu pastoralists, in an ever-changing landscape, negotiate and re-negotiate access to natural resources.

Empirically, I focus on the Ewaso Basin ecosystem, central-northern Kenya, which encompasses a highly dynamic and complex set of land uses, users, and land tenure systems.

Research interests: Pastoral mobility, creation of access, institutional change, processes of inclusion and exclusion, performativity of conflict.
