Research groups

Labour Economics (AME)

Labour economics is a very broad research field. In addition to research on labour market outcomes, such as wages and employment, the AME unit studies both elementary and higher education, health, taxes and income transfers, politics, crime and punishment, and gender equality.

GAINS

SOFI’s gender research group GAINS (Gender Analysis and Interdisciplinary research Network, Stockholm) is a cross-disciplinary research environment that aims to facilitate social science research on issues related to gender. Our focus areas include the labor market, health, education, and family relations.

About me

Anne Boschini is a professor of economics at SOFI. Her recent research focuses on gender-specific patterns in behaviour, educational choices and labour market outcomes.

Anne also studies how economic resources, risks, and responsibilities are shared within couples and households over the life course. Her work examines the role of marriage, divorce, inheritance, pensions, and private agreements in shaping economic security and gender inequality. Using large-scale administrative data, Anne analyses the interaction between legal institutions, family, and policy.

Anne teaches 'Introduction to Labour Economics' at AKPA, the teaching unit at SOFI. Together with colleagues at SOFI, she also teaches the PhD course 'Economics of Gender'.
