About me

My research interest and curiosity covers hydrology, ecology and water management, in which I try to infer how spatiotemporal precipitation interacts with the landscape and vegetation, becomes runoff and affects downstream regions discharge and water quality. I worked in different climates and scales from pot-plot-catchment scale to estuaries. To unravel the hidden spatiotemporal signal of states and fluxes of a catchment, I use a combination hydrometric (e.g. rainfall, groundwater and discharge) and state of the art tracer data (e.g. δ18O, δ2H, EC, Ca and DOC), different geostatistical data analysis and modelling tools. I further explored the use of open source hardware such as the Arduino and 3D printing to build new flexible and low-cost sensors, collect and extract water samples to obtain information of hydrological processes.
