About me
My research focuses on equity, equality and educational support in disadvantaged settings within the Swedish school system.
I am a sociologist and especially interested in how structural processes on different levels impact on school’s provision of educational support.
On 29 May at 13:00, I will defend my doctoral thesis at Albano, ALB Hörsal 1.

Lecturer and teacher at Stockholm University's teacher education, in courses held at the department of Special Education.
During three semesters at two schools, I have followed two classes from eight grade until completion of lower secondary. My field work has revealed processes and dynamics on individual, organizational and societal levels, conditioning the school’s provision of educational support. My empirical findings from the three semesters comprise observations of classes and staff meetings, formal and informal interviews with students, parents and school staff. Moreover, I have interviewed managers at the Local Educational Authorities and school principals from nine Swedish municipalities, and analyzed plans, budgets and applications for governmental funding in these as well.
