Cosmology

Cosmology observation and instrumentation work at the department includes supernovae, the cosmic microwave background, and large surveyes of galaxies.

Gravity and High Energy Theory

Gravity is clearly of critical importance to cosmology. It can also be used as a tool for the study of field theories for high energy and condensed matter physics.

I'm a professor in Observational Cosmology in the CoPS group (acronym for Cosmology, Particle astrophysics and String theory) at the Department of Physics, or Fysikum, at Stockholm University. I'm also a member of the Oskar Klein centre. We are all sitting at the AlbaNova University Center.
My research is involved with the exploration of the dark sectors of the universe. What is the dark energy that makes the universe expand faster and faster and what is the dark matter that holds galaxies and clusters of galaxies together?
