Eleonora Mussino is a Docent in Demography at the Stockholm University Demography Unit (SUDA) and Professor in Sociology at Umeå University. She studies the interrelation between the demographic behaviors and the determinants of integration among migrants in Italy and Sweden.

She has also examined the provision of antenatal care and parental leave use among migrants and natives. These studies have shown that strong inequalities and structural barriers persist for immigrants in many destination countries.
