About me

BA in Philosophy from Södertörn University, MA in Comparative Literature from Stockholm University. My master thesis (2013) examined the role of objects in the works of Djuna Barnes. PhD student in Comparative Literature at the Department of Culture and Aesthetics since January 2015.

Research Project

My research centers on the prominent role of objects in the modernist literary imagination of the early decades of the 20th century. I examine how modernist texts understand, represent and reproduce things and their thingliness, as well as their relation to the human. This is viewed against the backdrop of a renegotiation of the thing in modernity, having effects on both literature, theory and art.
