About me

Research

Research Project

My research centers on the prominent role of objects in the modernist literary imagination of the early decades of the 20th century. I examine how modernist texts understand, represent and reproduce things and their thingliness, as well as their relation to the human. This is viewed against the backdrop of a renegotiation of the thing in modernity, having effects on both literature, theory and art.

Supervisors

Elina Druker, Ulf Olsson.

Research interests

Theories on materiality, continental philosophy, modernity/modernism, the avant-garde, material and visual culture.
