Filip Dabergott Acting Lecturer

I work as an acting lecturer and hold a PhD in sociological demography (2022). Currently teaching courses on quantitative methods. 

In my research, I use register data to study different aspects of the excess mortality of widows and widowes compared to married women and men. The research area includes how the excess mortality of the widowed has changed over time, how it varies between demographic subpopulations and the role of duration of widowhood. I also look at changes in the demographic characteristics and processes of the widowed population in Sweden, like the age and sex composition, the typical timing of widowhood and the remarriage ate afterwidowhood.
