About me

PhD student in marine ecotoxicology with a focus on radioecology at the Department of Ecology, Environment and Plant Sciences (DEEP). My background is in biology and chemical engineering and I have previously worked with wastewater treatment and pharmaceutical analysis.

My research interest is in the distribution and fate of radioactive substances in marine environments, specifically in benthic ecosystems. The purpose of my research is to get an idea of how radioactive material is incorporated in benthic organisms and transferred between trophic levels of the benthic community, as well as how this is affected when combined with climate change and environmental disturbances, such as eutrophication and boat traffic.

The research group that I am a part of includes Clare Bradshaw (supervisor), Anna-Lea Golz (PhD student) and Peter Bruce (PhD student), with Francisco Nascimento as a co-supervisor to my project.
