About me
Originally from the south of Italy, I did my undergraduate studies at the University of Bologna with a full background in Astronomy, and then I did an internship at ESO (Garching) before landing in Sweden for the PhD.
TA of "Observational Astrophysics I" - Spring Semester 2026 (VT26)
I am interested in studying the chemical and physical properties of protostars and protoplanetary disks to ultimately constrain the formation and composition of planets in low-mass and high-mass star-forming regions, taking advantage of:
- Optical (VLT), infrared (JWST) & sub-millimeter/millimeter (VLA, ALMA) observations, with a focus on molecular gas-phase and organic (COMs) chemistry.
- Radiative transfer modelling (excitation diagrams, slab models, ProDiMo), with a focus on molecular spectra of externally irradiated protoplanetary disks, and intermediate-mass (IMTT/Herbig) protoplanetary disks.
I am an active member of the eXtreme UV Environments (XUE) international collaboration and of the ALMA2040 community.
