About me
My PhD project focuses on identifying anthropogenic organic chemicals in human blood and trying to understand the potential effects the mixture may cause. One part of the project has been to compile a chemical mixture in human-relevant concentrations and then expose cells and zebrafish to observe various effects. To get more insight into the exposure I also analyze endocrine disrupting compounds in human blood from the general population. The aim is to conduct mixture risk assessments based on the exposure data to determine if the general population is at risk for adverse health effects.
I have a Master of Science in Engineering within the degree program of Biotechnology from KTH. After my degree I worked as a research assistant for a year at the same department focusing on thiamine deficiency. A part of this work is now published in the article “Severe thiamine deficiency in eastern Baltic cod (Gadus morhua)".
