Johannes Nyström PhD student

My research interests concern philosophical questions about scientific method and theory confirmation, with specific focus on different versions of meta-empirical confirmation, and connected issues in the scientific realism debate. My PhD thesis has two parts; first, it explores the potential of adressing core problems for scientific realism in a novel way by extending the epistemic reach of a particular version of meta-empirical confirmation. Second, it develops a meta-empirical analysis of robustness analysis in science.
